By accessing or using FindStylist (findstylist.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use FindStylist.
• These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and stylists who access the platform.
• FindStylist is intended for use by UK residents, though access is not restricted geographically.
• By submitting your details through any form on this platform, you confirm you have read and accepted these terms.

FindStylist is a technology marketplace platform — not a hair service provider. We connect clients seeking Afro and textured hair services with independent stylists across the UK.

• We are not a hair salon — FindStylist does not employ stylists and does not directly provide any hair services.
• Independent contractors — All stylists listed on FindStylist are independent professionals. They set their own prices, availability, and working conditions.
• No endorsement — Listing on FindStylist does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or guarantee of a stylist's qualifications, skills, or conduct.
• Not responsible for services — FindStylist is not responsible or liable for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any hair services arranged through the platform.

As a client using FindStylist to find a hair specialist, you agree to the following:

• Free to search — Searching for and contacting stylists through FindStylist is free of charge for clients.
• Direct bookings — Any booking, appointment, or payment is made directly between you and the stylist. FindStylist is not a party to that agreement.
• Accurate information — You agree to provide accurate information when registering, including your name, email, location, and hair type.
• Respectful conduct — You agree to treat stylists with respect. Harassment, discriminatory language, or abusive contact is prohibited.
• No misuse of contact details — Stylist contact information provided through the platform must not be used for spam, unsolicited marketing, or any purpose unrelated to booking a hair appointment.

As a stylist applying to or listed on FindStylist, you agree to the following:

• Accurate profile — All information you submit — including your name, location, specialisms, and experience — must be truthful and kept up to date.
• Your own business — You are solely responsible for managing your appointments, setting your prices, delivering your services, and handling payments from clients.
• Insurance and compliance — You are responsible for holding appropriate professional insurance and complying with all applicable UK laws and regulations relating to your services.
• Professional conduct — You agree to treat clients with respect and professionalism at all times.
• Profile removal — FindStylist reserves the right to remove or suspend any stylist profile at its sole discretion, including for violation of these terms, complaints received, or inactivity.
• No off-platform circumvention — You must not use FindStylist solely to harvest client contacts and then direct all business away from the platform in a manner that undermines the service.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on FindStylist:

• Creating fake profiles, fake reviews, or misrepresenting your identity or qualifications
• Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against any user of the platform
• Sending unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to other users
• Uploading or sharing illegal, defamatory, or sexually explicit content
• Infringing the intellectual property rights of FindStylist or any third party
• Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the platform
• Attempting to circumvent rate limiting, security controls, or access restrictions
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose under UK law

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform, and may be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.

• FindStylist platform — The FindStylist name, logo, website design, code, and written content are owned by FindStylist and protected by UK intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without written permission.
• Your content — You retain ownership of any content you submit to FindStylist, including profile photos, bios, and service descriptions.
• Licence to display — By submitting content to FindStylist, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
• Removal — You may request removal of your content at any time by contacting hello@findstylist.co.uk.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, FindStylist excludes all liability for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of any hair services arranged through the platform
• Any loss of earnings, bookings, or business opportunity
• Any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the platform
• Downtime, data loss, or technical errors
• The conduct of any stylist or client on or off the platform

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms, or your use of FindStylist, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts under applicable consumer protection law.

FindStylist reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time.

• Notice — Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
• Continued use — Your continued use of FindStylist after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
• Review regularly — We recommend checking this page periodically. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
